In December 2023, the cement maker had commissioned the kiln, having a capacity of 11,500 tonnes per day, at its new integrated production facility in Nawalgarh, Rajasthan.
The plant has a capacity to produce 3.5 million tonnes of cement per annum and has been established with an investment of approximately Rs 3,500 crore.
Following this expansion, Shree Cement now has a network of five integrated facilities spanning Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, and Karnataka. With the commencement of cement production at the Nawalgarh facility, the company's total cement production capacity in India has risen from 49.9 MTPA to 53.4 MTPA.
Shree Cement is one of India's top three cement producers. Its portfolio of products includes Shree Jung Rodhak Cement, Bangur Cement, Roofon and Rockstrong Cement.
The company had reported 159.14% jump in standalone net profit to Rs 491.33 crore in Q2 FY24 as compared with Rs 189.60 crore in Q2 FY23. Revenue from Operations increased 21.26% YoY to Rs 4,584.63 crore in the second quarter of FY24.
The scrip had added 3.54% to end at Rs 27611.50 on the BSE on Saturday.
