AESL won the project through the tariff based competitive bidding (TBCB) process and will commission the project in the next 24 months on BOOM (build, own operate, and maintain) basis.

AESL would be investing around Rs 3,000 crore to build, own, operate and maintain the approximately 301 km (656 ckm) transmission project for a period of 35 years. The project includes setting up of 765 kV Halvad switching station with 2x330 MVAr bus reactors and line-in line-out of Lakadia Ahmedabad 765 kV D/c line at Halvad.

The world’s largest RE park, with a generation capacity of 30,000 megawatt (MW) of green energy, is coming up at Khavda, Gujarat. The Halvad transmission line, part of National Grid, will help evacuate 7GW of RE by connecting Khavda to Halvad in Gujarat.

Winning the said project further consolidates AESL’s market-leading position and takes its network (installed and under-commissioning) to 20,518 ckm and 53,161 MVA of transformation capacity.

Meanwhile, the company’s wholly owned subsidiary, Adani Transmission Step-Four (ATSFL) has entered into a definitive agreement with UAE-based Esyasoft Holdings (EHL) to implement smart metering projects in India and globally.

The said agreement has enabled licensing by EHL to IPRs of software products or solutions for smart meters and other industrial applications and further development of such products or solutions, by a joint venture company (JVCo) of ATSFL and EHL.

ATSFL and EHL to hold 49% and 51% shareholding respectively in the proposed joint venture company (JVCo) with equal participation in the board of directors.

ATSFL to acquire 49% ordinary equity shares of JVCo in a manner consistent with the terms of the definitive agreement.

The power transmission company's consolidated net profit jumped 46.08% to Rs 284.09 crore in Q2 FY24 as compared with Rs 194.47 crore in Q2 FY23. Revenue from operations increased 12.83% to Rs 3,421 crore in Q2 FY24 as compared with Rs 3,032 crore in Q2 FY23.
