Oil India Ltd gained 3.28% today to trade at Rs 372.75. The S&P BSE Energy index is up 0.02% to quote at 9598.92. The index is up 10.45 % over last one month. Among the other constituents of the index, Hindustan Oil Exploration Company Ltd increased 2.46% and Castrol India Ltd added 1.27% on the day. The S&P BSE Energy index went up 9.26 % over last one year compared to the 14.83% surge in benchmark SENSEX.

Oil India Ltd has added 21.1% over last one month compared to 10.45% gain in S&P BSE Energy index and 6.36% rise in the SENSEX. On the BSE, 84877 shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 3.08 lakh shares in the past one month. The stock hit a record high of Rs 406 on 20 Dec 2023. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 195.1 on 26 Dec 2022.
