Vedanta Ltd rose for a fifth straight session today. The stock is quoting at Rs 262.45, up 0.67% on the day as on 12:44 IST on the NSE. The benchmark NIFTY is up around 0.24% on the day, quoting at 21469.25. The Sensex is at 71488.4, up 0.24%. Vedanta Ltd has added around 9.56% in last one month.

Meanwhile, Nifty Metal index of which Vedanta Ltd is a constituent, has added around 14.22% in last one month and is currently quoting at 7768.55, down 0.44% on the day. The volume in the stock stood at 137.93 lakh shares today, compared to the daily average of 100.12 lakh shares in last one month.

The benchmark December futures contract for the stock is quoting at Rs 262.9, up 0.57% on the day. Vedanta Ltd is down 15.91% in last one year as compared to a 16.77% gain in NIFTY and a 14.58% gain in the Nifty Metal index.

The PE of the stock is 4.85 based on TTM earnings ending September 23.
