Among the other constituents of the index, Jindal Steel & Power Ltd decreased 1.5% and NMDC Ltd lost 1.13% on the day. The S&P BSE Metal index went up 25.35 % over last one year compared to the 16.05% surge in benchmark SENSEX.

JSW Steel Ltd has added 9.27% over last one month compared to 7.86% gain in S&P BSE Metal index and 8.19% rise in the SENSEX. On the BSE, 26337 shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 1.27 lakh shares in the past one month. The stock hit a record high of Rs 870.15 on 15 Dec 2023. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 649.75 on 16 Mar 2023.
