RailTel Corp bags work order from Madhya Pradesh Govt for implementing enforcement system
RailTel Corporation of India said that it has received the work order from Directorate of Geology and Mining, Government of Madhya Pradesh worth Rs 25.30 crore.

The contract involves implementation of AI-based smart enforcement system to curb illegal transportation of minerals with 3 years of operation and maintenance.

RailTel a "Mini Ratna (Category-I)" central public sector enterprise, is one of the largest neutral telecom infrastructure providers in the country owning a Pan-India optic fiber network covering several towns & cities and rural areas of the country.

The company reported 23% rise in net profit to Rs 68.15 crore on a 40% increase in revenue from operations to Rs 599.15 crore in Q2 FY24 as compared with Q2 FY23.

The scrip shed 0.37% to currently trade at Rs 297.95 on the BSE.
