Coal India Ltd rose for a third straight session today. The stock is quoting at Rs 353.5, up 1.19% on the day as on 12:49 IST on the NSE. The benchmark NIFTY is up around 0.98% on the day, quoting at 19635. The Sensex is at 65529.26, up 0.92%. Coal India Ltd has added around 13.3% in last one month.

Meanwhile, Nifty Energy index of which Coal India Ltd is a constituent, has added around 3.97% in last one month and is currently quoting at 28066.25, up 0.98% on the day. The volume in the stock stood at 262.54 lakh shares today, compared to the daily average of 101 lakh shares in last one month.

The benchmark November futures contract for the stock is quoting at Rs 353.85, up 1.16% on the day. Coal India Ltd is up 50.49% in last one year as compared to a 6.66% gain in NIFTY and a 5.91% gain in the Nifty Energy index.

The PE of the stock is 14.29 based on TTM earnings ending September 23.
