NBCC (India), a government-owned construction company, has recently secured two significant orders from the Haryana government. The combined value of these orders amounts to Rs 212 crore. These projects involve the supply of essential equipment to medical colleges in the region, further emphasizing the company's commitment to enhancing healthcare infrastructure.
The first work order, valued at Rs 75 crore, pertains to the University of Health Sciences, currently under construction in Karnal, Haryana. NBCC (India) is tasked with the planning, procurement, and maintenance of vital hospital furniture, as well as biomedical equipment.
Further, NBCC (India) has also secured a second work order worth Rs 137 crore. This order involves the planning, procurement, and maintenance of hospital furniture and biomedical equipment for not one, but two under-construction government medical colleges. The colleges in question are located in Koriyawas and Bhiwani, respectively, and are named Government Medical College and Pt. Neki Ram Sharma Government Medical College.
NBCC (India) provides civil engineering construction services. As on 30 June 2023, the Government of India held 61.75% stake in NBCC (India).
The company had reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 75.14 crore in the quarter ended June 2023 as against net loss of Rs 6.29 crore during the previous quarter ended June 2022. Sales rose 7.11% to Rs 1913.79 crore in Q1 FY24 over Q1 FY23.
Shares of NBCC (India) rose 2.23% to settle at Rs 67.37 on 2 November 2023.
