Domestic sales declined to 2,53,193 units in September 2023 as compared to 2,54,664 units sold in September 2022. Exports were marginally lower to 1,39,365 units in September 2023 as against 1,40,083 units sold in the same period last year.
The company sold 3,27,712 two-wheeler units (down 6% YoY) and 64,846 commercial vehicle units (up 40% YoY) in September 2023.
Bajaj Auto is engaged in the business of development, manufacturing and distribution of automobiles such as motorcycles, commercial vehicles, electric two-wheelers etc. and parts thereof.
The auto major reported consolidated net profit jumped 41.33% to Rs 1,644.14 crore on 28.82% increase in net sales to Rs 10,311.91 crore in Q1 FY24 over Q1 FY23.
Shares of Bajaj Auto were down 0.53% to Rs 5,035.45 on the BSE.
