State Bank of India rose for a fifth straight session today. The stock is quoting at Rs 605.2, up 0.21% on the day as on 12:44 IST on the NSE. The benchmark NIFTY is down around 0.89% on the day, quoting at 19953.15. The Sensex is at 66961.86, down 0.94%. State Bank of India has gained around 5.86% in last one month. Meanwhile, Nifty Bank index of which State Bank of India is a constituent, has gained around 3.2% in last one month and is currently quoting at 45979.85, down 1.24% on the day. The volume in the stock stood at 114.75 lakh shares today, compared to the daily average of 155.64 lakh shares in last one month. The benchmark September futures contract for the stock is quoting at Rs 607.6, up 0.59% on the day. State Bank of India is up 6.23% in last one year as compared to a 12.61% jump in NIFTY and a 10.21% jump in the Nifty Bank index. The PE of the stock is 8.83 based on TTM earnings ending June 23.
