Total domestic sales tumbled 20% to 2,05,100 units from 2,56,755 units sold in August 2022. Exports in August 2023 aggregated to 1,36,548 units (down 6% YoY).
The company's 2-wheeler sales slumped 20% to 2,85,031 units and sales of commercial vehicles surged by 23% to 56,617 units in August 2023 as compared with August 2022.
Bajaj Auto is engaged in the business of development, manufacturing and distribution of automobiles such as motorcycles, commercial vehicles, electric two-wheelers etc. and parts thereof.
The auto major reported consolidated net profit jumped 41.33% to Rs 1,644.14 crore on 28.82% increase in net sales to Rs 10,311.91 crore in Q1 FY24 over Q1 FY23.
The scrip rose 0.51% to Rs 4,636.35 on the BSE.
