Eveready Industries India Ltd surged 10.03% to Rs 411.75 at 11:45 IST. The stock was the biggest gainer in the BSE's 'A' group. On the BSE, 1.42 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 10726 shares in the past one month.

New India Assurance Company Ltd soared 9.16% to Rs 135.2. The stock was the second biggest gainer in 'A' group. On the BSE, 4.08 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 95235 shares in the past one month.
