The contract entails design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, shop testing, packing & forwarding, installation, commissioning & PG testing of FGD (flue gas desulfurization) System.
The contract is on an Engineering Procurement & Construction (EPC) basis and has a basic value of Rs 444 crore.
The order will be executed within 30 months from the date of letter of intent, i.e. by January 2026.
GE Power India is engaged in engineering, manufacturing, project management and supply of products and solutions for infrastructure. Its operations include a composite range of activities viz. engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction and servicing etc. of power plants and power equipment. It has engineering centres in Noida and Kolkata and manufacturing unit dedicated to Boilers in Durgapur.
On a consolidated basis, GE Power India reported net loss of Rs 129.70 crore in Q4 March 2023 as against net loss of Rs 179.10 crore in Q4 March 2022. Net sales declined 41.69% YoY to Rs 344.48 crore in Q4 March 2023.
