The inspection is being conducted under Section 206(5) of the Companies Act, 2013.
"The Company has today received a letter dated 19.7.2023 from the office of Regional Director (NWR), Ministry of Corporate affairs (MCA) informing order of inspection under Section 206(5) of the Companies Act, 2013," Shree Cement said in a statement.
The company said it will comply with the directions.
Shree Cement is one of India's top three cement producers. Its portfolio of products includes Shree Jung Rodhak Cement, Bangur Cement, Roofon and Rockstrong Cement.
The company reported 43.7% fall in net profit to Rs 276.77 crore despite of 14.6% jump in revenue from operations to Rs 4,068.79 crore in Q4 FY23 over Q4 FY22.
The scrip rose 0.27% to settle at Rs 24025.25 on Wednesday, 19 July 2023.
