With this, the cement maker said that it has completed the first phase of expansion in the Eastern region.
The company has commissioned cement capacity of 10.3 mtpa in the region over the last two years, catering to the rapidly growing cement demand in the region. Moreover, the cement major said that it will facilitate in reducing lead distance and in increasing the company's blended cement ratio, which is in line with its stated endeavour of reducing carbon emissions from its operations.
The Aditya Birla Group company's total grey cement manufacturing capacity in India now stands at 131.25 mtpa.
UltraTech Cement is the cement flagship company of the Aditya Birla Group. It is the third largest cement producer in the world, outside of China, with a consolidated Grey Cement capacity of 126.75 mtpa.
On a consolidated basis, the company's net profit fell 31% to Rs 1,685.95 crore in Q4 FY23, while revenue from operations grew 18% YoY to Rs 18,662.38 crore.
