In a regulatory filing, NTPC stated, “Unit-2 of 660 MW capacity of Stage-I (3 x 660 MW) of Barh Super Thermal Power Project in the state of Bihar, has successfully completed trial operation and consequently included in the installed capacity of NTPC.
With this, installed capacity of NTPC and NTPC group has become 57,038 MW and 73,024 MW respectively, said the company.
NTPC is India's largest energy conglomerate. It has presence in the entire value chain of the power generation business. As on 31 March 2023, the Government of India holds 51.10% in NTPC.
The company recorded 1% rise in standalone net profit to Rs 5,672.32 crore on a 21.8% increase in total income to Rs 43,399.15 crore in Q4 FY23 as compared with Q4 FY22.
Shares of NTPC were down 0.05% to Rs 196.45 on the BSE.
