Among the other constituents of the index, Sterlite Technologies Ltd decreased 0.98% and Railtel Corporation of India Ltd lost 0.81% on the day. The S&P BSE Telecommunication index went up 13.59 % over last one year compared to the 22.96% surge in benchmark SENSEX.

Bharti Airtel Ltd has added 2.96% over last one month compared to 6.05% gain in S&P BSE Telecommunication index and 4.66% rise in the SENSEX. On the BSE, 72972 shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 10.13 lakh shares in the past one month. The stock hit a record high of Rs 888 on 31 May 2023. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 629.05 on 14 Jul 2022.
