Vedanta Ltd lost 2.47% today to trade at Rs 278.5. The S&P BSE Metal index is down 1.12% to quote at 19551.3. The index is down 2.9 % over last one month. Among the other constituents of the index, Jindal Steel & Power Ltd decreased 1.54% and Hindalco Industries Ltd lost 1.43% on the day. The S&P BSE Metal index went up 8.02 % over last one year compared to the 12.83% surge in benchmark SENSEX.

Vedanta Ltd has lost 0.3% over last one month compared to 2.9% fall in S&P BSE Metal index and 2.59% rise in the SENSEX. On the BSE, 1.91 lakh shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 5.8 lakh shares in the past one month. The stock hit a record high of Rs 340.75 on 20 Jan 2023. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 206.1 on 01 Jul 2022.
