This is the fourth order from the Torrent Group to Suzlon. This is also the sixth and the largest order of the new Suzlon 3 MW series turbine so far.
Suzlon will supply 100 wind turbines with a rated capacity of 3 MW each. The project will be completed in phases by 2025 in Karnataka. This order is part of the bid won under the SECI tranche XII auctions by Torrent Power.
As part of the agreement, Suzlon will supply the wind turbines (equipment supply), provide land and execute the project including erection and commissioning. Suzlon will also provide comprehensive operations and maintenance services post‐commissioning.
Suzlon's 3 MW turbines feature a 144‐meter rotor diameter and are designed to unlock low wind sites and deliver improved energy yield suitable for all Indian wind regimes. With local content of up to 85‐90% by its serial launch, this series proves Suzlon's commitment to innovation and self‐reliance.

The company's consolidated net profit jumped 107.9% to Rs 78.36 crore in Q3 FY23 as against Rs 37.69 crore posted in Q3 FY22. However, revenue from operations fell 9.3% YoY to Rs 1,448.97 crore in the quarter ended 31 December 2022.
The company's board will consider Q4 results on 30 May 2023.
