Among the other constituents of the index, Vedanta Ltd increased 2.32% and National Aluminium Company Ltd added 2.15% on the day. The S&P BSE Metal index went up 0.78 % over last one year compared to the 1.81% surge in benchmark SENSEX.

Hindalco Industries Ltd has added 11.83% over last one month compared to 9.58% gain in S&P BSE Metal index and 6.68% rise in the SENSEX.
