Revenue from operations increased by 10.1% to Rs 1,072.7 crore in Q4 FY22 from Rs 974 crore posted in Q4 FY21. On a sequential basis, net sales fell 4.04% to Rs 1,072.7 crore in Q4 FY22 over Q3 FY22.
Profit before tax stood at Rs 14.2 crore in the fourth quarter, down by 13.2% from Rs 16.4 crore in the same period last year. Profitability was dented after the company reported a 10.91% spike in total expenses to Rs 1064.2 crore in Q4 FY22 over Q4 FY21.
On the segmental front, the Supply Chain Management business revenue was at Rs 1,045.24 crore (up 11.4% YoY) while, Enterprise Mobility Services business revenue was at Rs 27.44 crore (down 23.12% YoY), in Q4 FY22.
EBITDA stood at Rs 60.6 crore in Q4FY22, up by 19.4% from Rs 50.8 crore during the period under review.
Finance costs increased by 61.96% to Rs 9.07 crore while depreciation & amortization expenses rose by 43.37% to Rs 37.39 crore in the fourth quarter as compared to the corresponding quarter last year.
On a full year basis, the company reported a 20% rise in net profit to Rs 34.6 crore on a 25.1% increase in net sales to Rs 4,083 crore in financial year ended 2022 over financial year ended 2021.
Commenting on the performance, Rampraveen Swaminathan, MD and CEO of Mahindra Logistics, said, “We continue to witness a challenging external environment with global supply chain volatility, chipshortages, fuel & commodity cost pressures and continuing waves of the Covid-19 pandemic. Despite these headwinds, we delivered continuing growth in Q4, FY21-22, driven by account acquisition and execution of our strategy of providing customized, integrated solutions to our customers. Our revenue growth was driven by E-commerce, Consumer, Automotive and Freight Forwarding businesses. Strong momentum in Supply Chain has offset the impact of Wave 3 of the Covid-19 pandemic on the Enterprise Mobility business. We remain focused on improving operational efficiencies and margin expansion.”
Meanwhile, the board of directors has recommended a final dividend of Rs 2 per share for the financial year ended 31 March 2022.
