CreditAccess Grameen Q4 GLP grows 22% YoY to Rs 16,601 crore

CreditAccess Grameen's consolidated Gross Loan Portfolio (GLP) grew 22.2% year-on-year (YoY) to Rs 16,601 crore in March 2022 (with CA Grameen contributing Rs 13,732 crore and MMFL contributing Rs 2,869 crore).

Consolidated disbursements stood at Rs 2,257 crore in March 2022 as compared to Rs 1,746 crore in February 2022 (with CA Grameen contributing Rs 1,825 crore and Madura Micro Finance contributing Rs 432 crore).

Consolidated branch network rose 15% YoY to 1,638 branches to 1,638 branches in March 2022. 214 new branches opened in the financial year 2022, primarily across newer markets. 1,24,787 new borrowers were added in March 2022 over 89,871 in February 2022 on a consolidated basis. A cumulative addition of 5,05,300 new borrowers since October 2021.

Collection Efficiency at CA Grameen was 95% (excl. arrears)/ 96% (incl. arrears) in March 2022. Excluding the non-paying NPA customers, collection efficiency in March 2022 was at 97% (excl. arrears)/ 98% (incl. arrears).

The micro finance institution saw an improvement in PAR. Portfolio At Risk (PAR) is the percentage of gross loan portfolio that is at risk. CA Grameens' PAR 30 improved to 3% in March 22 as compared with 5% in February 22. PAR 60 enhanced to 2.6% in March as against 4.5% in February 22. PAR 90 improved to 2.3% in March 22 over 4.1% in February 22. Rs 243.3 crore was written off in Mar-22 by CA Grameen.

Asset Quality at MMFL saw an improvement in March 2021 - PAR 30: 7.5% (vs. 9.8% in February 2022), PAR 60: 6% (vs. 7.9% in February 2022), PAR 90: 4.9% (vs. 6.6% in February 2022). Rs 47.8 crore was written off in March 2022 by MMFL.

CreditAccess Grameen (formerly known as Grameen Koota Financial Services Pvt. Ltd.) is a microfinance institution providing a wide range of financial services to the rural poor and low-income households, particularly women. It is registered with the Reserve Bank of India under the NBFC-MFI category.

The NBFC reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 116.94 crore in Q3 FY22 compared to loss of Rs 79.06 crore in the same quarter in previous year.
