CASA ratio stood at 37% as of 31 March 2022 as against 23% as of 31 March 2021 and 39% as of 31 December 2021.Average cost of funds was 5.7% in Q4 FY22 as against 6.5% in Q4 FY21 and 5.9% in Q3 FY22. Incremental cost of funds was 5.3% in Q4 FY22 as compared to 5.95 in Q4 FY21.
Gross advances grew 32% YoY and 15% QoQ to Rs 46,801 crore by the end of March 2022. Fund based disbursement amounted to Rs 10,296 crore (up 39% YoY and up 26% QoQ) whereas non-fund based disbursements summed up to Rs 742 crore (up 90% YoY and up 18% QoQ) in Q4 FY22.
Collection efficiency for March 2022 was 112%, for February 2022 was 107% and for January 2022 was 105%. Collection efficiency is calculated with all money received during the month from borrowers (excluding foreclosure) as% of current billing for the month.
The bank's management stated that there was a sustained improvement in asset quality as customers' cashflows improved, and credit demand continued to become more broad-based with improving sentiment on the ground. It continues to make progress in its aim to build a stable and granular deposits franchise and is being supported by increasing brand awareness as well as our digital properties like AU 0101, Video Banking, Credit cards, UPI QR etc. which continue to see strong momentum. Till 31st March, 2022, the bank has issued 1.6 Lac+ Credit cards, installed 4.7 Lac+ QR codes and opened 1 Lac+ savings accounts through video banking.
AU Small Finance Bank (formerly Au Financiers (India)) was incorporated in 1996 as an NBFC. AU started its banking operations in April 2017. The SFB's main focus is retail asset-financing segment, primarily in the vehicle financing segment alongside small business loans to MSMEs. Other segments include housing, gold loans, personal loans, overdraft, and commercial banking products. As of 30 September 2021, AU SFB had established operations across 811 banking touchpoints in 15 states & 2 union territories.
The bank reported a 36.9% decline in net profit to Rs 302.05 crore on 9% fall in total income to Rs 1772.09 crore in Q3 FY22 over Q3 FY21.
Shares of AU Small Finance Bank closed 0.31% higher at Rs 1312.65 on BSE.
