As many as 15.9 lakh shares changed hands on the BSE
The scrip after rising sharply in January 2006 slipped into the red from late January 2006 only to remain range bound till March. From Rs 112.50 on 18 January 2006, the scrip rose 57.2 % in four trading days to reach Rs 176.90 on 18 January. It slipped to Rs 146.60 on 17 February. Thereafter, the scrip remained flat, fluctuating between Rs 150-163. It settled at Rs 162.70 on 24 March 2006.
PBA Infrastructure has bagged three new contracts worth over Rs 78 crore. One of the contracts includes construction of road at Nagpur airport.
Recently, the company had bagged three contracts from the National Highways Authority of India and from the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai worth Rs 40.05 crore. In January 2006, the company was awarded two contracts worth over Rs 78 crore from Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation for the construction of Thane Belapur Road.
The net profit of the company for the quarter ended December 2005 was Rs 2.42 crore on net sales of Rs 45.40 crore. For FY 2005 (year ended 31 March 2005), the company had net profit of Rs 6.58 crore on sales of Rs 124.32 crore.
PBA Infrastructure, a company engaged in execution of civil engineering projects had entered into the capital market in October 2005 with a public issue of 50 lakh equity shares of Rs.10 each, at a premium of Rs.50 per share, aggregating Rs.30 crore.
