Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 104.38 points or 0.28% to 37,018.93.

Kaveri Seed Company rose 1.67% to Rs 537.40 after the company said that board of directors would meet on 24 September 2019 to consider and approve the proposal of buyback of equity shares of the company. The announcement was made after market hours yesterday, 16 September 2019.

On the BSE, 1750 shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 23,000 shares in the past two weeks. The stock hit a high of Rs 541.95 and a low of Rs 536 so far during the day.
