GIC Housing Finance has reported 129.8% growth in Q1 June 2005 net profit to Rs 7.08 crore (Rs 3.08 crore). Income from operations rose 39.8% to Rs 37.40 crore (Rs 26.75 crore).
Insurance companies like General Insurance Corporation, New India Assurance, United India Insurance, National Insurance Company and Oriental Insurance have a combined stake of 33.7% in GIC Housing Finance. IFC has 8.1% stake.
