HeidelbergCement India to set up waste heat recover based power generation plant
At its clikerisation unit at Narsingarh
The board of HeidelbergCement India at its meeting held on 11 February 2013 has approved setting up of a waste heat recover based power generation plant at its clikerisation unit at Narsingarh, District Damoh (M.P.). The proposed plant will produce approximately 12.15 MW of power from available waste heat of pyro-processing system of all three clinkerisation lines at Narsingarh.

The project cost is estimated to be in the range of Rs 1450 million to Rs 1500 million and it is likely to be operational in January 2015. It will substitute equivalent grid power and thus reduce power cost per ton of clinker and improve profitability.
