The board of Tamilnadu Petroproducts in its meeting on 28 January 2013 has co-opted N S Palaniappan, IAS, as director and chairman of the company not liable to retire by rotation representing TIDCO vice Vikram Kapur, IAS.
The board has co-opted Muthukrishnan Ravi as director representing SPIC (not liable to retire by rotation) and appointed as managing director of the company with effect from 04 February 2013 vice R M Muthukaruppan whose term of office ends on 03 February 2013.
The board has recorded that the term of office V Ramani as director and chief financial officer would end on 03 February 2013.
Further, the board has approved the closure of operations of its Epichlorohydrin plant located at Manali, Chennai – 600068, subject to necessary approvals required, if any.
