Universal Cables has announced that the Hon’ble High Court of Bombay at Goa and the Hon’ble High Court of Madhya Pradesh at Jabalpur have approved the scheme of amalgamation of Optic Fibre Goa with the company.

As per scheme of amalgamation, 3092310 equity shares of Rs 10 each will be allotted to the shareholders of Optic Fibre Goa in the proportion of five equity shares of Rs 10 each for every 13 fully paid equity shares of Rs 10 each held by the said shareholders as on the record date.
