India Cements update on threat to its Sankarnagar Cement plant
India Cements announced that on the midnight of 22 June 2021, based upon an anonymous call to the Plant Head of the Sankarnagar Cement Works of the Company, the police were asked to investigate the possibility of any explosive device in the Plant. The police have located two suspicious 'small pipes' which have to be examined for explosive content. The police have taken into custody a few suspects and are conducting an investigation. There is no interruption of production and the Plant is completely safe and no untoward accident has happened. The police have complete control and life is normal in the Plant.
