PAT down 6%, despite strong operating show, hit by lower OI
|

|
|
Standalone net sales (including other operating income) of Voltamp Transformers
for the quarter ended Dec 2021 has increased 79% to Rs 314.95
crore. Operating profit margin has jumped from 10.8% to 10.9%,
leading to 81% rise in operating profit to Rs 34.38 crore. Raw
material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments) decreased from
79.30% to 78.02%. Employee cost decreased from 4.40% to 4.32%.
Other expenses rose from 6.33% to 6.38%. Other income
fell 68% to Rs 7.66 crore. PBIDT fell 2% to Rs 42.04
crore. Provision for interest up 50% to Rs 0.24 crore. PBDT
fell 2% to Rs 41.8 crore. Provision for depreciation down 13% to Rs
1.98 crore. Profit before tax down 2% to Rs 39.82
crore. Provision for tax was expense of Rs 9.71 crore, compared to
Rs 8.53 crore. Effective tax rate was 24.38% compared to 21.02%. Profit
after tax fell 6% to Rs 30.11 crore. Nine month performance Net sales (including other operating
income) of Voltamp Transformers has increased 81.22% to Rs 740.01
crore. Operating profit margin has declined from 10.87% to 9.77%,
leading to 62.77% rise in operating profit to Rs 72.27 crore. Raw
material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments) increased from
75.82% to 80.96%. Employee cost decreased from 5.74% to 3.82%.
Other expenses fell from 7.84% to 6.21%. Other income
fell 43.02% to Rs 35.14 crore. PBIDT rose 1.26% to Rs 107.41
crore. Provision for interest up 33.33% to Rs 0.56
crore. PBDT rose 1.14% to Rs 106.85 crore. Provision for
depreciation down 13.70% to Rs 5.73 crore. Profit before tax grew
2.13% to Rs 101.12 crore. Provision for tax was expense of Rs 20.15
crore, compared to Rs 17.86 crore. Effective tax rate was 19.93%
compared to 18.04%. Profit after tax fell 0.22% to Rs 80.97 crore. Promoters’ stake was 50.00% as of 31
December 2021, compared to 50.00% as of 31 December 2020.
