Quarter ended June 2021 compared with Quarter ended June 2020

Net sales (including other operating income) of HeidelbergCement India has increased 36.36% to Rs 555.94 crore.  

Operating profit margin has slumped from 26.57% to 23.58%, leading to 21.01% rise in operating profit to Rs 131.09 crore.  Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments) increased from 17.37% to 19.03%.   Employee cost decreased from 6.64% to 5.82%.   Other expenses rose from 49.27% to 51.44%.   Power and Oil fuel cost rose from 20.63% to 24.33%.   Freight charges fell from 13.61% to 13.15%.   

Other income up 7.46% to Rs 10.51 crore.  Provision for interest fell 36.34% to Rs 10.18 crore.  

Provision for depreciation down 0.22% to Rs 27.57 crore.  

Profit before tax grew 39.41% to Rs 103.85 crore.  Provision for tax was expense of Rs 35.2 crore, compared to Rs 25.55 crore.  Effective tax rate was 33.90% compared to 34.30%.

Profit after tax rose 40.27% to Rs 68.65 crore.
