• Sales was up by 17% to Rs 251.33 crore. But the value of production was up by 11% to Rs 232.12 crore. The sales for the period was 1.08 times of its value of production. In comparison the sales of corresponding previous period was 1.02 times of its value of production. Sales higher than Value of Production reflects liquidation of prior period inventory.

• OPM expanded by 110 bps to 12.1% and that is largely due to lower material cost which more than offset the rise in other cost heads. The material cost as % of sales net of stocks was down by 430 bps to 74%. But the staff cost was up by 210 bps to 5.2% and the OE cost was up by 30 bps to 7.7%.

• Other income was up by 27% to Rs 12.57 crore. The interest cost was nil for the period as well as corresponding previous period. The depreciation was higher by 24% to Rs 2.44 crore. Thus the PBT was up by 28% to Rs 40.54 crore. The taxation was lower by 41% to RS 5.50 crore and thus the PAT was up by 58% to Rs 35.04 crore.

Nine-month Performance

Sale for the quarter was up by 11% to Rs 633.55 crore. With OPM expand by 110 bps to 11.4%, the operating profit was up by 22% to Rs 71.97 crore. After accounting for higher other income (up by 28% to Rs 29.15 crore) and higher depreciation (up by 27% to Rs 6.41 crore) the PBT was up by 24% to Rs 94.71 crore. Taxation was down by 29% to Rs 16.87 crore and thus the PAT was up by 48% to Rs 77.84 crore.
