Swaraj Engines reported a 8% increase in net sales for Dec 18 quarter to Rs 198.72 crore. Company's engine sales witnessed a growth of 8.3% YoY and stood at 22569 units for Dec 18 quarter.
OPM was down by about 20 bps to 13.8%, thus restricting the OP growth to 7% to Rs 27.49 crore. Other income was down by 18% to Rs 4.03 crore. Depreciation was higher by 12% to Rs 4.72 crore. After providing total tax of Rs 26.8 crore, up by 2%, PAT for quarter ended Dec 18 stood at Rs 17.34 crore up by 1% YoY.
Performance for the 9 months ended Dec 18
Company's engine sales witnessed a healthy growth of 10.9% and stood at 77871 units for 9 months ended Dec 18. With the rise in engine sale volume coupled with increase in the share of higher HP engine sale, net sales for 9 months ended Dec 18 grew by 16% to Rs 680.27 crore.
OPM was down by 60 bps to 15.3% resulting in a 12% increase in OP to Rs 104.24 crore. Other income was down by 21% to Rs 11.74 crore. Depreciation was up by 13% to Rs 14.26 crore. Interest cost stood at Rs 8 lakh. After providing total tax of Rs 101.64 crore up by 7%, PAT for the 9 months ended Dec 18 stood at Rs 65.77 crore up by 6%.
