During the month of June 2024, Automobile sector’s Marketcap increased 75% to Rs 1871847.62 crore, compared to 55.32% rise in total listed marketcap to Rs 44240598.14 crore.

Sector’s share of total listed marketcap moved to 4.23% in June 2024 from 3.76% in May 2023 and 3.6% in May 2022.


In terms of price appreciation in the sector, there were 13 gainers and 5 losers in the month of Jun 2024. The gainers accounted for 68.42% of sector companies, losers accounted for 26.32% of sector companies, while 1% remained unchanged.

The top 3 gainers were VST Till. Tract. (27.05% gain), Atul Auto (20.37% gain) and M & M (12.38% gain).

The 3 losers at the bottom were Hindustan Motors (-7.05% fall), Maruti Suzuki (-6.12% fall) and Eicher Motors (-2.18% fall).
