During the month of April 2024, Automobile sector’s Marketcap increased 87.38% to Rs 1709165.58 crore, compared to 57.5% rise in total listed marketcap to Rs 40881718.68 crore.

Sector’s share of total listed marketcap moved to 4.18% in April 2024 from 3.51% in March 2023 and 2.99% in March 2022.


In terms of price appreciation in the sector, there were 14 gainers and 5 losers in the month of Apr 2024. The gainers accounted for 73.68% of sector companies, losers accounted for 26.32% of sector companies.

The top 3 gainers were Hindustan Motors (89.95% gain), Force Motors (31.36% gain) and Scooters India (28.03% gain).

The 3 losers at the bottom were Olectra Greentec (-8.16% fall), Hero Motocorp (-5.49% fall) and TVS Motor Co. (-5.35% fall).

During the month Force Motors Ltd, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd, Olectra Greentech Ltd, Wardwizard Innovations & Mobility Ltd and Bajaj Auto Ltd announced their results.
