During the month of March 2024, Automobile sector’s Marketcap increased 76.48% to Rs 1681104.86 crore, compared to 50.32% rise in total listed marketcap to Rs 38945362.38 crore.

Sector’s share of total listed marketcap moved to 4.32% in March 2024 from 3.68% in February 2023 and 3.15% in February 2022.


In terms of price appreciation in the sector, there were 10 gainers and 8 losers in the month of Mar 2024. The gainers accounted for 55.56% of sector companies, losers accounted for 44.44% of sector companies.

The top 3 gainers were Maruti Suzuki (13.12% gain), Force Motors (12.80% gain) and Bajaj Auto (11.89% gain).

The 3 losers at the bottom were Scooters India (-28.34% fall), Wardwizard Inno. (-17.35% fall) and SML ISUZU (-14.20% fall).

While TVS Motor Company Ltd announced bonus shares in the ratio of 4:1.
