During the month of January 2024, Petrochemicals sector’s Marketcap increased 42.83% to Rs 27919.3 crore, compared to 33.05% rise in total listed marketcap to Rs 37753281.25 crore.

Sector’s share of total listed marketcap moved to 0.07% in January 2024 from 0.07% in December 2022 and % in December 2021.


In terms of price appreciation in the sector, there were 10 gainers and 2 losers in the month of Jan 2024. The gainers accounted for 76.92% of sector companies, losers accounted for 15.38% of sector companies, while 1% remained unchanged.

The top 3 gainers were Goa Carbon (30.70% gain), Agarwal Indl. (16.38% gain) and Savita Oil Tech (15.12% gain).

The 2 losers at the bottom were Hind.Fluoro Carb (-8.34% fall) and Manali Petrochem (-0.06% fall).

During the month Goa Carbon Ltd, Bhansali Engineering Polymers Ltd, Supreme Petrochem Ltd and ONGC Petro Additions Ltd announced their results.
