The company announced the results after market hours on Thursday, 17 May 2012.
Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was down 194.64 points or 1.21% to 15,875.84.
On BSE, 59,000 shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 3.61 lakh shares in the past one quarter.
The stock hit a high of Rs 7.99 and a low of Rs 7.76 so far during the day. The stock had hit a record low of Rs 7.01 on 20 December 2011. The stock had hit a 52-week high of Rs 35.35 on 18 May 2011.
The stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till 17 May 2012, falling 21.32% compared with the Sensex's 7.42% fall. The scrip had also underperformed the market in past one quarter, tumbling 39.91% as against the Sensex's 12.13% fall.
The small-cap telecom tower operator has an equity capital of Rs 1827.19 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.
GTL Infrastructure's net sales rose 0.5% to Rs 139.83 crore in Q4 March 2012 over Q4 March 2011. The company reported net loss of Rs 370.83 crore in the year ended 31 March 2012, higher than net loss of Rs 139.29 crore in the year ended 31 March 2011. Net sales rose 12.3% to Rs 550.56 crore in the year ended 31 March 2012 over the year ended 31 March 2011.
On a consolidated basis, GTL Infrastructure reported net loss of Rs 689.74 crore in the year ended 31 March 2012, higher than net loss of Rs 378.02 crore in the year ended 31 March 2012. Net sales rose 38.8% to Rs 1397.96 crore in the year ended 31 March 2012 over the year ended 31 March 2011.
With regard to the outlook on the operational front, the company said it is currently operational in all 23 telecom circles. The company has all leading telecom operators as tenants on its towers, GTL Infra said. The contracts are typically for a period of 10-15 years, the company added.
GTL Infrastructure builds, owns, operates and maintains passive network infrastructure (towers) to cater to the needs of cellular telecom operators.
