The company announced the results after market hours on Thursday, 26 May 2011.

Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was up 172.22 points, or 0.95%, to 18,216.86.

On BSE, 45,401 shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 3.39 lakh shares over the past one quarter.

The stock hit a high of Rs 143.60 and a low of Rs 141.70 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week high of Rs 309.40 on 18 August 2010 and a 52-week low of Rs 125.75 on 10 February 2011.

The mid-cap stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till 26 May 2011, declining 21.81% compared with the Sensex's 7.68% fall. The stock had also underperformed the market in past one quarter, falling 12.54% as against Sensex's return of 1.94%.

The company has an equity capital of Rs 17.85 crore. Face value per share is Rs 1.

Jai Corp's net profit fell 9.9% to Rs 16.12 crore on 28.9% rise in net sales to Rs 150.82 crore in Q4 March 2011 over Q4 March 2010.

On a consolidated basis, the company's net profit surged 40.6% to Rs 127.46 crore on 15.8% increase in net sales to Rs 544.07 crore in the year ended March 2011 over the year ended March 2010.

Jai Corp's board recommended a dividend of 50 paise per share for the year ended March 2011.
