The stock hit a high of Rs 24.75 and a low of Rs 23.65 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52 week high of Rs 27.90 on 25 January 2010 and a 52 week low of Rs 17.75 on 25 May 2010.
The mid-cap stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till 19 October 2010, rising 10.42% compared with the Sensex's return of 1.98%. It had also outperformed the market in past one quarter, rising 15.5% as against 11.46% rise in the Sensex.
The company has equity capital of Rs 787.80 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.
Alok Industries makes cotton yarn, apparel fabric, home textiles, garments and polyester yarn. Grabal Alok Impex is primarily a manufacturer, dealer and exporter of embroidery products like embroidered fabric and laces.
The two group companies -- Alok Industries and Grabal Alok Impex, have cross shareholdings in each other. Alok Industries holds 8.45% stake in Grabal Alok Impex (as per the shareholding pattern of Grabal Alok Impex as on 30 June 2010). Grabal Alok Impex holds 2.23% stake in Alok Industries (as per the shareholding pattern of Alok Industries as on 30 June 2010).
Alok Industries' net profit surged 45.30% to Rs 46.51 crore on 39.80% rise in net sales to Rs 1098.97 crore in Q1 June 2010 over Q1 June 2009. The company will announce its Q2 result on 28 October 2010.
