Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was down 95.91 points, or 0.52%, to 18,215.68.
On BSE, 13.36 lakh shares were traded in the counter as against an average daily volume of 1.17 lakh shares in the past one quarter.
The stock hit a high of Rs 124.90, which is a 52-week high for the stock. The stock hit a low of Rs 116.45 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52 week low of Rs 47.50 on 25 August 2009.
The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till 24 August 2010, jumping 40.86% compared with the Sensex's 1% rise. It also outperformed the market in past one quarter, soaring 74.87% as against 11.18% rise in the Sensex.
The small-cap pharma firm has an equity capital of Rs 29.32 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.
The company's net profit rose 31.9% to Rs 14.86 crore on 18% rise in net sales to Rs 199.40 crore in Q1 June 2010 over Q1 June 2009.
