As many as 12.81 lakh shares were traded in the Prism Cement counter on the BSE.
The scrip of Prism Cement has fallen from a high of Rs 44 on 7 February 2007, to Rs 30.20 by 4 April 2007, only to appreciate to Rs 33.30 by 9 April 2007.
At the current market price of Rs 34, Prism Cement trades 4.56 times its Q3 December 2006 annualised EPS of Rs 7.44.
Prism Cement has posted a net profit of Rs 55.48 crore in the January – March 2007, quarter compared with Rs 24.39 crore in the January – March 2006. Net sales for the December 2006 quarter rose 201.92 crore from Rs 167.10 crore in the year ago quarter.
The counter clocked 27.88 lakh shares on BSE, with pending buy orders of 9.67 lakh shares at the maximum limit.
Prism Cement is a Hyderabad-based, mid-cap cement manufacturer, and promoters hold 61%.
