SJVN Green Energy has bagged 75 MW Solar Power Project at a tariff of Rs 2.98 per unit through competitive tariff bidding conducted by Uttar Pradesh new & renewable development agency (UPNEDA). Power Purchase Agreement for the same has been signed with Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation for 25 years.
Cost of construction project is Rs 408.42 crore The project will generate 159.77 million units (MU) in the first year and the estimated cumulative energy generation over a period of 25 years shall be 3,716 million units (MU). This will further result into revenues of around Rs 48 crore per annum.
With commissioning of the Gurhah Solar Power Project, the total installed capacity of SJVN is now 2,227 megawatt (MW).
SJVN is an Indian public sector undertaking having business interests in hydro, thermal, solar, wind and in power transmission & power trading. It is a joint venture between the Government of India and the Government of Himachal Pradesh.
The company's consolidated net profit declined 1.3% to Rs 439.64 crore in Q2 FY24 as against Rs 445.44 crore in Q2 FY23. Net sales fell marginally to Rs 878.36 crore in Q2 FY24 from Rs 878.48 crore reported in the same period a year ago.
The scrip fell 0.42% to end at Rs 90.94 on Friday, 29 December 2023.
