State Bank of India gained for a fifth straight session today. The stock is quoting at Rs 656.7, up 1.26% on the day as on 12:44 IST on the NSE. The benchmark NIFTY is up around 0.24% on the day, quoting at 21469.25. The Sensex is at 71488.4, up 0.24%. State Bank of India has risen around 16.49% in last one month. Meanwhile, Nifty Bank index of which State Bank of India is a constituent, has risen around 9.96% in last one month and is currently quoting at 47867.7, up 0.13% on the day. The volume in the stock stood at 108.54 lakh shares today, compared to the daily average of 159.03 lakh shares in last one month. The benchmark December futures contract for the stock is quoting at Rs 658.25, up 1.38% on the day. State Bank of India is up 8.64% in last one year as compared to a 16.77% jump in NIFTY and a 10.54% jump in the Nifty Bank index. The PE of the stock is 9.32 based on TTM earnings ending September 23.
