Coal India Ltd gained 0.69% today to trade at Rs 334. The S&P BSE Metal index is up 0.01% to quote at 23255.2. The index is up 0.25 % over last one month. Among the other constituents of the index, Hindalco Industries Ltd increased 0.55% and APL Apollo Tubes Ltd added 0.32% on the day. The S&P BSE Metal index went up 15.44 % over last one year compared to the 5.18% surge in benchmark SENSEX.

Coal India Ltd has added 8.51% over last one month compared to 0.25% gain in S&P BSE Metal index and 1.94% drop in the SENSEX.
