Profit before tax in Q1 FY24 was at Rs 121.91 crore, down 29.28% as against Rs 172.39 crore reported in Q1 FY23.
EBITDA de-grew 7.5% year on year (YoY) to Rs 239.3 crore in the quarter ended 30 June 2023. EBITDA margin reduced to 16.19% in Q1 FY24 as against 15.48% posted in Q1 FY23.
The company's revenue from Yarn business stood at Rs 643.68 crore (down 37.04% YoY), revenue from Paper and chemicals division was at Rs 260.67 crore (down 19.43% YoY) during the quarter.
However, revenue from Towel division increased 11.95% YoY to Rs 607.76 crore and revenue from Bedsheets business rose 7.73% YoY to Rs 302.62 crore in Q1 FY24.
Meanwhile, Trident said that it will spend approximately Rs 2,090 crore on capacity addition in Yarn, Towel, Bedsheets & Chemical business for which the projects are under different development and implementation stages.
