Revenue from operations grew by 24.1% year on year to Rs 467.61 crore in the quarter ended 30 June 2023.
Profit before tax in Q1 FY24 was at Rs 51.46 crore, registering a growth of 49.1% from Rs 34.52 crore posted in the same period last year.
Total expenses stood at Rs 431.27 crore in the first quarter of FY24, up 23.02% YoY.
The company's revenue from Telecom Services stood at Rs 291.68 crore (up 6.54% YoY) and revenue from Proiect Work Services was at Rs 175.93 crore (up 70.67% on YoY) during the period under review.
RailTel, a "Mini Ratna (Category-I)" Central Public Sector Enterprise is an information and communications technology (ICT) provider and one of the largest neutral telecom infrastructure providers in the country owning a pan-India optic fiber network on exclusive Right of Way (ROW) along Railway track. As on 30 June 2023, the Government of India holds 72.84% stake in the company.
Shares of RailTel Corporation of India dropped 5.18% to Rs 159.30 on the BSE.
