The board of Hindustan Zinc in its meeting held on 8 July 2023 approved interim dividend of Rs 7 per equity share on face value of Rs 2 per share for the financial year 2023-24, amounting to Rs 10,985.83 crore.

The record date for the purpose of payment of interim dividend is Saturday, 15 July 2023.

Hindustan Zinc, a Vedanta Group company, is an integrated producer of zinc, lead and silver. As of March 2023, Vedanta held 64.92% stake in the company.

The company's consolidated net profit slipped 11.8% to Rs 2,583 crore on 3.3% decline in revenue to Rs 8,509 crore in Q4 FY23 over Q4 FY22.

Shares of Hindustan Zinc rose 1.29% to settle at Rs 340.50 on Friday, 7 July 2023.
