Coal India Ltd rose for a fifth straight session today. The stock is quoting at Rs 232.6, up 0.41% on the day as on 12:44 IST on the NSE. The benchmark NIFTY is up around 0.39% on the day, quoting at 19398.55. The Sensex is at 65537.42, up 0.51%. Coal India Ltd has risen around 1.26% in last one month.

Meanwhile, Nifty Auto index of which Coal India Ltd is a constituent, has risen around 4.49% in last one month and is currently quoting at 25020.9, down 0.18% on the day. The volume in the stock stood at 21.24 lakh shares today, compared to the daily average of 88.31 lakh shares in last one month.

The benchmark July futures contract for the stock is quoting at Rs 233.25, down 0.02% on the day. Coal India Ltd is up 27.49% in last one year as compared to a 22.69% spurt in NIFTY and a 3.08% spurt in the Nifty Auto index.

The PE of the stock is 9.64 based on TTM earnings ending March 23.
